Experienced Diesel Mechanic - Towanda, PA Established crane and trucking company is seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Towanda, PA. This position focuses on maintenance and repair of diesel equipment, trucks, and trailers. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on medium/heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including (but not limited to): steering, electrical systems, cooling systems, lubrication, braking systems, drivetrains, suspensions, power steering units, clutches, transmissions, fuel systems, and engine components. Perform engine testing, adjustments, rebuilds, and component replacements in accordance with all Federal, State, and local regulations. Test-drive vehicles to verify successful repairs. Obtain required inspections and approvals for major repairs before releasing vehicles from the maintenance facility. Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment that complies with all regulatory requirements. Document all work performed, parts used, and time spent on proper maintenance forms or digital logs. Identify and report additional repair needs discovered during routine service. Respond to road calls and complete on-site repairs as needed. Job Requirements Minimum 5+ years of medium/heavy-duty truck and trailer repair experience. Strong technical knowledge of major vehicle systems, diesel equipment, and trailer components. Experience working with both diesel and gasoline systems. Must have a full set of standard tools. Strong diagnostic abilities, good judgment, and effective decision-making skills. Must pass a DOT pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check. Valid state driver's license required; CDL preferred .
