Job Description

Field Service Generator Technician Premium Power Services has an immediate need for Generator Technicians in the Pennington NJ and Browns Mills NJ areas. These jobs pay $24 to $45 per hour depending upon experience. The company is willing to train individuals with a diesel engine repair background. These positions report to the Manager of Field Services. Overtime averages about 10 hours per week but more is available for experienced applicants if they desire it. Some Saturdays are required based on customer needs. Health benefits to include medical, dental, vision and prescription 100% paid by the company. Company vehicle, phone and equipment provided.
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
Provides diesel generator maintenance and repair services to Commercial and Industrial customers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Adheres to all safety policies and procedures. Adheres to all company policies and procedures. Performs maintenance and repair services on diesel standby generators ranging from 25 kW to 2500 kW. Performs maintenance and repair services on Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS's) Provides written field service reports to customers at the completion of all services. Manages projects, as assigned. Interacts personally with customers to promote a quality image and good business relationships. Complies with company policies, procedures and standards of conduct and appearance so as to reflect positively on the company image. Responsible for company-owned equipment and vehicle. Maintains contact via cell phone for emergency response to customer needs. Gathers information and pricing to generate proposals for repair projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Good customer communication skills. Working knowledge of NFPA and NEC standards and specifications are preferred but not required. NICET and NETA certifications are preferred but not required. Valid driver's license. Must pass pre-employment drug test and customer required drug tests as needed.
