ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Diagnosis various symptoms by looking, listening, feeling, and by plugging in computer module to download data concerning truck's operating history May install new ignition systems, aligns front wheels, air conditioning, transmission and may perform axle repair or overhauls systems, changes or recharges batteries, and other parts. May overhaul or otherwise rebuild diesel engines Examines protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and makes adjustments. Performs DOT examinations to ensure truck is road ready Rebuilds engines, transmissions, rears, and other mechanical parts Repairs trucks and other vehicles, by changing parts, topping fluid levels, and other functions in order to provide customers with fully functioning vehicles Removes faulty units from vehicles, disassembles and replaces worn and broken parts Assists less skilled technicians with troubleshooting Records activities; secures and accounts for parts; and presents invoices Must have a valid Florida Drivers License and good driving record. 2 years of experience working on heavy duty trucks and diesel engines Diagnostic and practical problem- solving skills. Necessary tools A neat and organized approach to work and reporting procedures Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
