Diesel Service Technician Engineuity, LLC Des Moines, IA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $22.50 - $55.50 an hour 21 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Customer communication CDL DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Driver's License Attention to detail OEM Mechanical knowledge Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking an independant contractor who is a proactive, experienced (5+ years with heavy duty: semi trucks/ trailers) Service Technician to join our team of mobile mechanics. We work on the yard, with a rare call out elsewhere with customers who depend on us to keep their medium to heavy duty fleet running flawlessly, without them having to be the driving force behind it. Hours are flexible, with most work being done late morning-late evening (11am-11pm) work is varied but predictable. Your expertise is required and would be valued as well as being beneficial to your wallet. If you're in the "I'm wanting to slow down, but I know a lot" crowd- we would appreciate your experience and give you the flexible hours you're looking for after years in a "regular" tech position. If you're in the "I'm looking for something flexible to make a little extra $ and I hate looking for those occasional jobs" group, we can give you steady work with regular but flexible hours. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment- multimeter, J-Pro, Snap On Pro Link, NexIQ with other OEM programs. Conduct mostly on the yard service calls to assess customer needs and provide effective solutions. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used- Fullbay experience, Preventative maintenance and inspections, including but not limited to DOT inspections. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all service operations. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with office staff and completely and accurately filling out the service repair orders.
