In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment. Your expertise will ensure that all machinery operates efficiently, safely, and reliably, supporting our operational goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced mechanical systems and contribute to the safety and productivity of our fleet. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and other mechanical systems using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and fluid checks to keep vehicles in optimal condition. Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical repair techniques. Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems and mechanical issues. Ensure compliance with safety regulations during all maintenance activities by following proper manual handling procedures and safety protocols. Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, parts used, and service history for each vehicle or piece of equipment. Support the team in adhering to maintenance schedules for fleet vehicles to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines and automotive systems. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive electrical systems. Experience with vehicle maintenance, mechanical systems repair, and troubleshooting using schematics. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while working in various positions or environments. Knowledge of safety regulations related to heavy machinery maintenance and repair operations (MRO). Excellent customer service skills when interacting with internal teams or external clients regarding vehicle issues.
