Job Summary Doggett is seeking a skilled Mobile Diesel Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing diesel-powered heavy equipment directly at customer locations. The Mobile Diesel Technician will work independently to ensure the highest standard of service and repair to support our customers and maintain their equipment in optimal working condition. Essential Functions Travel to customer locations within the West Memphis, AR, Memphis, TN and at times Little Rock area to perform maintenance, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel engines and heavy equipment. Remove, install, and service components as per service manual guidelines, following Doggett's quality standards. Operate equipment safely to diagnose issues, inspect vehicles, and test systems, including power trains, hydraulics, electrical, fuel, and emission systems. Document all repairs, maintenance, and service actions taken in compliance with company and customer requirements. Assess repair vs. exchange costs and recommend solutions to the customer as needed. Manage time effectively to complete assignments and training within set timelines. Maintain and comply with all safety standards and company regulations, ensuring safety at all times in the field. Perform additional duties as required by management. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; an Associate's degree or completion of a technical school program is preferred. Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing diesel-powered heavy equipment in the field. Proficiency in troubleshooting and utilizing diagnostic tools, repair manuals, and other equipment. Strong computer skills to document service reports and access digital manuals. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and explain repair work. Strong math skills, including the ability to calculate measurements, rates, and ratios. Valid driver's license and ability to meet travel requirements within the service area. Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and problem-solve in standardized situations. Must own appropriate tools to perform repairs and maintenance tasks. Preferred Skills Experience with Heavy Duty Semi Trucks or similar diesel equipment. Cummins and Detroit engine experience a plus. ASE or similar certifications in diesel engine repair or related fields.
