Role:

The Diesel Parlor LLC is looking for a skilled and motivated Shop/Field Mechanic to join our growing team in Port St. Lucie, FL. This is a hands-on role where you'll tackle everything from in-shop diesel repairs to on-site field service calls, keeping our customers' equipment running at peak performance. Responsibilities:

Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gas engines, drivetrains, and related systems in a shop and field setting Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and tune-ups on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment Respond to field service calls and perform on-site repairs as needed Utilize diagnostic software and tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues Complete accurate repair orders, service documentation, and parts requests Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly to customers and management Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with shop standards

Requirements:

Proven experience as a diesel mechanic in a shop or field service environment Strong knowledge of diesel and gas engine systems, hydraulics, electrical, and drivetrain components Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software (e.g., Cummins Insite, Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link, or similar) Ability to work independently in the field and as part of a shop team Valid driver's license required; CDL or clean MVR preferred Own tools preferred; reliable and detail-oriented work ethic a must Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure
