Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team, providing expert maintenance and repair services for a variety of heavy-duty semi trucks and trailers. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring the optimal performance of all equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, experience with heavy equipment, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience and familiarity in fleet maintenance is highly valued. Duties Diagnose and repair any needed maintenance items associated with the fleet's truck and trailers Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, and HVAC system servicing Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues Conduct inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify potential problems before failure occurs Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed Requirements Proven mechanic experience with diesel engines and heavy equipment repair Strong knowledge of diesel diagnostics, electrical systems, transmissions, and related systems Proficiency with mechanical troubleshooting techniques Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, or farm machinery Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and other maintenance devices Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including brake repair, suspension work, tire service, shocks & struts replacement Valid driver's license with clean driving record preferred Is able to provide their own tools for general maintenance work This position offers an opportunity to work on high quality trucks and associated equipment in a family environment. Pay:
$22.00 - $32.00 per hour
