Diesel Mechanic Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing diesel engines in various vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in brake repair, soldering, heavy lifting, air brake systems, hydraulics, power tools operation, and possess strong mechanical knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
• Diagnose and repair engine malfunctions and issues with brakes, suspensions, and hydraulics.
• Utilize power tools to disassemble and reassemble engine parts for repair or replacement.
• Conduct inspections to identify worn or damaged parts and recommend necessary repairs.
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
• Proficiency in brake repair, soldering, heavy lifting, air brake systems, hydraulics, and automotive repair.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot engine issues effectively.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship program is a plus.
