Job Overview Are you a passionate and skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic ready to take on dynamic challenges in heavy equipment and vehicle maintenance? This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, excavators, cranes, and farm machinery, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency across all operations. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and industrial machinery. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized machinery to execute repairs and fabrication tasks efficiently. Diagnose issues related to air brake systems, HVAC units, shocks & struts, alignment problems, and vehicle systems to restore optimal operation. Assist in the assembly, disassembly, and overhaul of various equipment components while adhering to safety standards. Maintain detailed service records and documentation of all repairs performed for quality assurance and compliance purposes. Requirements Proven dealership or heavy equipment mechanic experience with a strong mechanical knowledge base. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics and repair of diesel engines used in trucks and industrial equipment. Familiarity with schematics for electrical systems repair and understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools required for complex repairs. Knowledge of hydraulic systems, suspension components, air brake systems, HVAC units, shocks & struts is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on safety compliance and quality workmanship. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while maintaining attention to detail during inspections or repairs. $29.27 - $35.25 per hour
