About the job We are currently seeking an experienced and dependable Deisel Mechanic to join our team. This position is available immediately and is ideal for someone comfortable working independently during daytime or evening hours and taking responsibility for shop opening/close-down procedures. The primary function of this role is to service, maintain and repair Campanella Trucking vehicles to ensure the safety and efficiency of our growing fleet. Hours to be discussed during interview process. Currently looking for someone available for AM shift 6:00 AM

•3:00 PM OR PM shift 3:00 PM

•11:30 PM with a 30-minute or 1-hour unpaid lunch break.

Responsibilities:

Mounting and dismounting tires Diagnosing and repairing lighting and electrical issues Routine Preventive Maintenance Change Oil Check Batteries Grease equipment/machinery Conducting Monthly and Annual Inspections Brake systems Steering mechanisms Utilize Diagnostic Software Work on and maintain equipment safely and efficiently Close down shop each night or open shop in mornings, including securing tools, equipment, and locking/unlocking the facility.

Requirements:

Previous diesel mechanics experience Experience working on dump trucks and/or tractors Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Strong work ethic and drive Repair and maintain a fleet of dump trucks, keep records and systems in place to keep trucks DOT compliant. Sometimes we have opportunities for overtime on Saturdays as needed. Must have experience and bring own tools. Pay based on experience and drive; will be discussed in the interview process.

Positions for growth:

Shop Foreman. CDL is helpful, but not necessary.

Pay:

$21.00
