Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Diesel Mechanic Helper to join our team. This entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in heavy equipment and vehicle maintenance within a dynamic work environment. The role involves assisting skilled mechanics with repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance of diesel engines and various types of industrial equipment. Candidates should be eager to learn, dependable, and capable of performing physical tasks in a fast-paced setting. Duties Assist with the repair and maintenance of diesel engines, heavy equipment, and automotive systems Support mechanics in performing diagnostics using schematics and electrical testing tools Help with the disassembly and assembly of vehicle components such as transmissions, suspensions, hydraulics, and air brake systems Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools to perform repairs Conduct routine inspections to identify mechanical issues and assist with troubleshooting Support in fabricating parts or components as needed for equipment repair or customization Assist with tire service, and general vehicle maintenance Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting, equipment operation, welding, soldering, and other technical tasks Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency Requirements Prior experience or familiarity with service environments is a plus but not required Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation, automotive repair, or farm machinery is preferred Ability to read schematics and understand basic electrical systems Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, soldering, and other maintenance equipment is advantageous Physical ability to lift heavy components and perform manual labor for extended periods Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Willingness to learn new skills related to diesel engine repair, hydraulics and vehicle diagnostics Valid driver's license is preferred for moving equipment or parts as needed This position offers valuable training opportunities for individuals interested in developing a career in heavy equipment or automotive repair.
