Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, particularly with diesel engines and heavy equipment. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and associated systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. The Diesel Mechanic will play a crucial role in keeping our fleet operational and efficient. Duties Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in diesel engines and heavy equipment. Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake repairs. Utilize power tools and hand tools to conduct repairs and maintenance tasks. Work with hydraulic systems to ensure proper functionality. Read and interpret schematics to understand complex mechanical systems. Operate heavy equipment as necessary for testing and repair purposes. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs. Maintain detailed service records and ensure equipment meets DOT and safety regulations. Qualifications Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in diesel mechanics preferred. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation. Must have your own tools and be dependable. Experience with brake repair and hydraulics is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective customer service interactions. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
