Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment, including construction machinery, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and vehicle fleets. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and longevity of our equipment assets. Responsibilities Perform detailed diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, air brakes, and suspension components using OEM schematics and electrical diagnostics tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on construction machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other heavy equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues involving power tools, schematics interpretation, and equipment troubleshooting techniques. Service and repair farm machinery and industrial equipment with precision, adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Perform tire services, brake repairs, alignment checks, HVAC system maintenance, and heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs performed for compliance and future reference. Skills Proven dealership experience with heavy equipment servicing preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and air brakes. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering is a plus. Capable of working with schematics for electrical diagnostics. Experience with excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, construction machinery maintenance, and farm machinery is highly desirable. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and service manuals to troubleshoot issues effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or inspections. Must possess a valid drivers license with good driving record. CDL is a plus but not required. Must be able to pass background check and drug screen. Must be self-motivated and be able to manage time efficiently. Must be able to work outside in heat and cold. Must have the ability to safely use hand and power tools. Tools provided and accountability is required.
