Diesel Mechanic - $30-$50/hr Trades Exchange is hiring an experienced Diesel Mechanic for a temp-to-perm opportunity in Lenoir City, TN . This is a great opportunity for a skilled mechanic looking for steady work, strong pay, and the potential to grow into a permanent position.

Temp-to-Perm Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel-powered equipment Perform preventative maintenance and general mechanical repairs Troubleshoot engine, hydraulic, electrical, fuel, cooling, and braking systems Identify mechanical issues and determine proper repair solutions Repair and maintain trucks, commercial vehicles, and/or heavy equipment Read service manuals and utilize diagnostic equipment as needed Maintain a safe and organized work area Work independently while also supporting the shop team Requirements Previous diesel mechanic experience is required Must have your own tools Strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities Experience with diesel engines and mechanical repair Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems preferred Experience with brakes, transmissions, cooling systems, and fuel systems preferred Dependable attendance and reliable work history Ability to work independently and efficiently Drug testing may be required for candidates selected to move forward Tools required: Must have a complete set of personal diesel-mechanic hand tools, including sockets, wrenches, ratchets, electrical diagnostic tools, torque wrench, pliers, pry bars, and general service tools Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in any of the following are strongly encouraged to apply: Diesel Engines Heavy Equipment Commercial Trucks Hydraulics Electrical Diagnostics Preventative Maintenance Engine Repair Transmissions Brakes Fuel Systems Cooling Systems Apply today with Trades Exchange for immediate consideration.
