Duties Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and electrical components using schematics and diagnostic tools Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, alignment checks, and vehicle diagnostics to keep equipment in peak condition Fabricate parts or modify existing components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and heavy lifting to meet specific repair needs Use automotive diagnostics software and electrical experience to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electronic issues on industrial equipment Conduct detailed inspections and service vehicles to identify potential problems before they escalate Assemble repaired parts or equipment following manufacturer specifications and safety standards while maintaining a clean work environment Qualifications Proven experience working as a mechanic or service technician with dealership experience preferred Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and electrical components Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, schematics reading and troubleshooting heavy machinery or automotive systems. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or parts replacement Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about repairs and maintenance needs Certification in automotive repair or diesel engine repair is a plus; ongoing training in industry best practices is encouraged.
