Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of heavy-duty diesel engines. Your expertise will ensure that all vehicles operate efficiently, safely, and reliably, supporting our commitment to excellence in equipment performance. Your hands-on skills and mechanical knowledge will be vital in delivering top-tier service and maintaining operational productivity. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions,and other heavy equipment components using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, and alignment adjustments to ensure optimal equipment performance. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools to meet specific repair needs. Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform automotive diagnostics to identify issues accurately for timely repairs. Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules to ensure compliance with safety standards. Assist with assembly or disassembly of complex equipment components during repair or overhaul processes while adhering to safety protocols. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience working with heavy equipment and automotive repair. Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, brakes (including air brake systems), suspension components, and wheel alignments. Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues. Proficient in fabricating parts or modifications using welding, soldering, power tools, and hand tools. Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely under various conditions. Ability to perform tire service and wheel balancing; knowledgeable about shocks & struts replacement and vehicle maintenance procedures. Excellent electrical troubleshooting skills combined with automotive diagnostics expertise for efficient problem resolution. Capable of heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or inspections. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs or maintenance needs.
