We are looking for someone who can diagnose problems accurately, complete repairs efficiently, and help keep our trucks safe and on the road. This position is ideal for a technician with hands-on experience working on Freightliner and other heavy-duty diesel trucks. Experience with Detroit Diesel, Cummins, electrical diagnostics, air brake systems, suspension, and preventive maintenance is highly valued.

Main responsibilities should center around:

Diagnose and repair diesel engine and drivability issues Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspection-related repairs Diagnose electrical and charging-system problems Repair air brakes, wheel ends, suspension and steering components Diagnose cooling-system issues, including radiators, water pumps, hoses and thermostats Service HVAC and A/C systems Perform clutch, transmission and driveline repairs as experience allows Perform oil changes, filters, lubrication and other scheduled maintenance Troubleshoot using diagnostic software, schematics and service manuals Identify additional repairs during inspections and communicate findings Maintain accurate repair and service records Perform welding/fabrication when needed and within technician experience

Qualifications:

2+ years of heavy-duty diesel repair experience preferred Experience with Freightliner, Detroit Diesel and/or Cummins preferred Ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical problems independently Familiarity with diagnostic software and service information Valid driver's license CDL preferred but not required Welding/fabrication experience is a plus Must have basic technician hand tools
