You will perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability across our fleet. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension components, and HVAC systems on various heavy equipment and vehicles. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacement, and brake repairs to keep equipment in optimal condition. Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and automotive diagnostics tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues accurately. Fabricate parts or modifications using power tools and welding techniques to meet specific repair needs or enhance equipment performance. Conduct heavy lifting and use hand tools safely to disassemble, assemble, and repair machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment. Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed for compliance and future reference. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and ensuring timely completion of all maintenance tasks. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engines, heavy equipment operation, or automotive repair. Dealership experience is highly desirable for familiarity with manufacturer-specific systems like Caterpillar or other industrial brands. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; capable of working with schematics for electrical or hydraulic systems. Hands-on experience with excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, or similar heavy machinery is preferred. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including tire service, alignment, HVAC systems, shocks & struts replacement, and brake repair. Ability to operate power tools safely while performing assembly or equipment repair tasks efficiently. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience; capable of troubleshooting automotive diagnostics effectively.
