Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other mechanical components across various heavy equipment and vehicles Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, suspension work, and equipment inspections to ensure optimal performance Fabricate parts or modify equipment using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific operational needs Conduct heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers to facilitate repairs or testing procedures Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic software to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues accurately Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies Assist in equipment assembly, alignment procedures, air brake testing, shocks & struts replacement, HVAC servicing, and other specialized repairs Skills Proven experience working in dealership settings or heavy equipment repair environments Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and vehicle electrical systems Skilled in automotive diagnostics using advanced tools and schematics for precise troubleshooting Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques and heavy lifting safety practices Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts safely and efficiently Familiarity with fabricating parts or modifications for farm machinery or industrial equipment as needed Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their expertise in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance while working in a fast-paced environment that values safety, precision, and teamwork.
