  • 50/hr based on experience Overtime paid at time and a half Performance bonuses PTO Paid weekly Take-home company service truck Uniform provided Fuel provided via company card About the Role As our Mobile Mechanic, you'll be the face of DuraFleet in the field, driving a fully equipped service truck to customer locations across our Houston-area territory.
You'll handle everything from routine preventative maintenance to roadside repairs and diagnostics on diesel trucks, trailers, and commercial fleet vehicles. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to work independently, take ownership of their truck and territory, and be part of a company built to grow. What You'll Do Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel trucks, trailers, and commercial fleet vehicles at customer locations Respond to roadside and emergency breakdown calls, troubleshooting issues efficiently and safely Complete DOT inspections and general mechanical repairs to manufacturer and DOT standards Communicate clearly with customers on-site, explaining findings and recommended repairs Document all work performed, parts used, and time on the job through our shop management system (ShopMonkey) Maintain your service vehicle, tools, and equipment in clean, safe, and reliable working condition Follow all safety procedures for roadside work, jobsite setup, and equipment operation Communicate parts needs and job status to the Account Manager/dispatch to keep customers updated Represent DuraFleet professionally

  • on every call What We're Looking For 5+ years of diesel/heavy-duty truck repair experience (fleet, dealership, or independent shop background welcome) Strong diagnostic skills across engines, brakes, electrical systems, and DOT-required components Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL a plus but not required Own hand tools (specialty/diagnostic equipment provided by DuraFleet) Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule in the field Strong communication skills•you'll be interacting directly with customers on most calls Reliable, self-motivated, and takes pride in high-quality work Bonus Experience Mobile repair or roadside service Fleet maintenance Heavy equipment repair ASE certifications (we'll also support your path to certification if you're not there yet) Schedule Full-time with overtime opportunities Some Saturday work depending on workload Occasional after-hours/emergency calls
