In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining School Buses, and vehicle fleets. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our fleet and . This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse equipment types and cutting-edge diagnostic tools in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence. Duties Conduct comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, air brakes, and other heavy equipment components using OEM schematics and electronic diagnostic tools. Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific operational requirements. Troubleshoot equipment issues through mechanical knowledge and electrical diagnostics to identify root causes quickly and accurately. Service and repair Wheel chair lift. Conduct suspension repairs, tire services, brake repairs, and HVAC system maintenance for various vehicles and heavy equipment. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to assemble or disassemble components effectively while maintaining detailed service records. Support heavy equipment operation when necessary by performing routine inspections and ensuring proper maintenance schedules are followed. Experience Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with Preventive Maintenance experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in diesel engine diagnostics, transmission repairs, hydraulics, electrical systems, and vehicle maintenance. Skilled in using diagnostic software for electrical diagnostics and automotive diagnostics to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently. Experience working with OEM parts and schematics for precise repairs; ability to fabricate parts when necessary using welding or soldering techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working with power tools or performing tire service or brake repair tasks. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members or clients.

Pay:

From $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
