Job Description

Job Summary Trout Trucking is looking for two skilled 18-Wheeler Diesel Mechanics to join our team in Robstown, TX. You will be responsible for keeping our fleet of commercial trucks running safely and efficiently. If you have solid experience with heavy-duty diesel engines, air brakes, and commercial diagnostics in the Coastal Bend area, we want to talk to you. We offer steady shop work, great hourly pay, and reliable overtime.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair 18-wheeler trucks, commercial tractors, and heavy-duty trailers. Troubleshoot diesel engines (Cummins, Detroit, PACCAR, Volvo, etc.). Repair heavy-duty systems including air brakes, suspensions, steering, and drivetrains. Use commercial diagnostic software to read codes and pinpoint electrical issues. Perform routine fleet maintenance, DOT inspections, and preventative care.
Qualifications:
Proven experience working as a diesel mechanic on Class 8 / 18-wheeler trucks. Deep knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, and heavy-duty electronics. Must own your own tools suitable for heavy truck repair. Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required. A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a major plus.
