Position Overview Temp-to-perm role starting as a 1099 contractor position, with the potential to convert to a W-2 employee after a 6-month performance review. 1099 contractors have an all-in pay option of a higher negotiated pay rate or may elect compensation and benefits as outlined below. Compensation & Benefits (Contract Phase) Base pay: To be negotiated (40 hours per week, 5-day workweek) Truck allowance: To be negotiated per month for use of a mechanic truck Mileage reimbursement: $1.00 per mile for travel, excluding travel to and from the primary site location

Travel:

Accommodation will be pre-paid and provided during any required travel assignments Work Structure Full-time, 40 hours per week On-site work at the primary project location (details to be provided) Additional travel may be required depending on project needs and would be for extended stays (e.g. 2-6 month period in San Antonio or Houston TX) Standard working hours expected (specific schedule to be coordinated) Conversion Opportunity Performance and fit will be evaluated over a 6-month period Successful candidates may be offered conversion to a W-2 employee role.

Ability to work independently in a field/project environment Willingness to travel and stay for extended period as needed for assignments Strong reliability and attention to detail in execution of field tasks Experience in construction or related field work preferred Job Profile Our Diesel Mechanic are responsible for repairs and servicing our equipment fleet. Candidate will also operate company equipment around jobsite. Ideal candidate for this opening has at least ten years mechanic experience, repair and maintenance experience; be highly motivated, safety conscious, and have the ability to regularly lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds. We may consider candidates with related education and/or experience and a stable work history willing to learn this trade.

Diesel Mechanic Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, and electrical issues.
• Diagnose and Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software.
• Document and Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Adhere to all safety standards and regulations.
• Communicate effectively about repair needs and solutions.

Qualifications High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required. Ability to communicate in English via verbal and written communications. Spanish speaking is also preferred, but not required. At least five years of experience with heavy equipment is preferred. Strong troubleshooting skills in engine, hydraulic and electrical circuits. Knowledge of CAT SIS and ET usage. Owns all necessary tools to complete tasks. Work history with many different makes and models of heavy and small equipment. Able to work independently with little guidance in the field

License:

Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus.
