Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose issues accurately and perform repairs efficiently. Preventative maintenance repairs for Peterbilt and Kenworth tractors— replacing or rotating tires— completing vehicle component lubrication and replacement, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on diesel engines. Engine and brake work. Trailer repairs are also necessary for RGN, Landoll and Flatbed. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems. Diagnose mechanical issues in equipment and vehicles, including HVAC systems. Conduct alignment and tire service for trucks and heavy machinery. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working on equipment. Flexibility to perform road calls as needed. Rotating on call schedule. Experienced Diesel Mechanic 3+ years Requirements Proven experience in diesel mechanic work or automotive repair. Familiarity with equipment repair, particularly in tractor-trailer systems. Ability to operate various tools and machinery safely, including forklifts and cranes. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to diesel mechanics are preferred. Ability to work in all weather types. Reliable transportation. Excellent communication and record keeping. Clean driving record and must pass a drug screen. Positive, get it done attitude. Help keep our fleet in shape and on the road. Salary is based on experience
