Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension components, and electrical systems across various vehicles. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, alignment, shocks & struts replacement, and general vehicle systems inspection to ensure safety and reliability. Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues accurately. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to support equipment repair or customization projects. Maintain detailed service records, complete repair reports, and document all maintenance activities adhering to company standards. Assist with heavy lifting tasks and perform heavy equipment operation safely during repairs or installations. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and offering recommendations for ongoing maintenance needs. Skills Proven experience working in dealership environments or heavy equipment repair shops with a strong foundation in diesel mechanics. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, electrical system repair, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and mechanical systems repair. Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical manuals for troubleshooting complex issues. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and other fabrication tools. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including brake repair, wheel alignment, shocks & struts replacement, tire service, and suspension work. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment when required. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and provide outstanding customer service.
