A locally trusted fleet maintenance operation is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician in Gainesville, VA for on-site heavy truck and equipment repairs. Ideal candidates come from heavy truck, automotive, or equipment repair backgrounds and have strong diagnostic skills. Duties & Responsibilities Travel to customer locations and roadside service calls to diagnose and repair heavy trucks, vehicles, and equipment Troubleshoot and repair engine, brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and battery replacements Use diagnostic tools, computers, hand tools, and power tools to identify problems and complete repairs Work independently from a company service truck while supporting daily mobile repair priorities Complete on-site repairs that help commercial and government fleet customers maintain safe, reliable equipment
Requirements Required:
Hands-on experience repairing heavy trucks, automotive vehicles, or equipment Diagnostic and troubleshooting experience with engines, brakes, electrical components, and hydraulic systems Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic computers, and related testing procedures Ability to work independently and complete repairs at customer sites or roadside locations Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred:
Commercial Driver's License #SJ1
Compensation:
$30.00 - $60.00/hour starting pay based on experience and certifications Company-provided service truck
