Red Stag LLC is hiring an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. We are looking for a dependable, skilled mechanic who knows diesel equipment, takes pride in their work, and can keep our trucks safe, reliable, and on the road. This is a full-time, hands-on position performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and inspections on commercial diesel equipment. What You'll Do Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and related systems Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using appropriate diagnostic equipment Inspect and test trucks and equipment to identify problems and make necessary repairs Troubleshoot issues efficiently to help minimize equipment downtime Perform safety checks and DOT inspections Maintain accurate records of maintenance, services, and repairs Communicate with team members regarding equipment status and needed repairs Follow company safety procedures and applicable regulations Properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials Keep the shop, tools, and work areas clean and organized Perform additional maintenance-related duties as needed What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required Trade school or vocational training in diesel mechanics preferred 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred , especially within the transportation or logistics industry Strong knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics, maintenance, and repair Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Dependable with excellent attention to detail Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Good time-management and organizational skills Willingness to work a flexible schedule and be on-call when needed Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Physical Requirements Candidates must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, reach overhead, sit for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds.
