Mobile Diesel and Gas Mechanic

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a contracted service provider with FedEx. We are looking for an Experienced Mobile Diesel and Gas Mechanic who can perform mechanical work on heavy duty trucks on the road for our fleet. This is a fast paced & dynamic environment. We have contracts in Martinsburg, WV, Winchester, VA, and Manassas, VA. Work would be based in the surrounding areas of these locations where our contracts are based.

What you will be doing:

Ability to communicate effectively and clearly Ability to perform heavy lifting safely Accurately diagnose problems and conduct repairs Perform safety inspections Document services performed Provide maintenance to vehicles Traveling to various breakdown sites to perform requested vehicle repairs. Have the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and service diesel and gas engines, transmissions, brakes, and other critical components to ensure optimal performance and safety Replace or repair brakes, alignments, tires, suspensions, and perform wheel balancing and alignment procedures to maintain safety standards. Work with tools such as hydraulic jacks, air tools and heavy hand-held tools. Operate vehicles safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to safety protocols. Rescue vehicles when needed This is not an all encompassing list but an overview. More details to be discussed during interview.

SCHEDULE

Full Time- 10Hr Shifts Weekends should be expected to be part of the schedule. NOT a M-F position

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 21 years of age (No Exceptions) Obtain, Hold, and Maintain- Valid Driver's License, Clean Motor Vehicle Record, and DOT Medical Card Able to pass a background check & pre-employment drug screening-This includes cannabis (Also subject to random drug testing throughout employment) Operate a commercial service truck and Commercial Vehicles Must have your own basic tools for the job The ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Must possess tools required to service commercial vehicles and trailers (some tools supplied) Safety conscious, respectful, honest, strong work ethic, and enjoys being part of a team Ability to operate and maintain tire equipment & machinery

Pay:

$250.00 - $320.00 per day
