Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance and safety of equipment used in various industrial, agricultural, and construction settings. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and HVAC systems across diverse equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and tractor-trailers. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues accurately. Conduct fabrication tasks such as welding, soldering, and assembly to repair or modify equipment components. Operate heavy machinery safely during maintenance procedures, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment. Use hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs and maintenance tasks while adhering to safety protocols. Perform tire service, wheel alignment, air brake inspections, and general vehicle maintenance to ensure operational safety. Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed; communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding service needs and progress. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic background with heavy equipment operation. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, suspension components, and electrical systems. Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; familiar with schematics for troubleshooting complex systems. Experience working with excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, industrial equipment, tractor-trailers, and automotive diagnostics. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely using appropriate tools and techniques; excellent customer service skills for engaging with clients. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, service manuals, and diagnostic equipment. Knowledge of safety standards related to vehicle maintenance including air brake systems and tire services. $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
