Job Overview:

We are a small family owned business, we are focused on quality not quantity. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team. We work on heavy trucks and equipment. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles and equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, and filter replacements
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs
• Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend appropriate solutions
• Repair or replace faulty components, such as brakes, transmissions, and engines
• Test vehicles to ensure proper functionality and performance
• Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of vehicles and equipment
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Knowledge of systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
• Familiarity with computerized systems used for vehicle diagnostics
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify issues and find effective solutions
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues
• Must have 3-5 years experience in heavy truck/equipment repair.
