A commitment to safety and quality workmanship is essential. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including oil changes, brake replacements, and tire rotations. Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment. Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as needed for repairs. Operate forklifts and cranes safely to move vehicles and parts within the shop. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored. Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repair orders. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automotive technology. Qualifications Proven experience as an Semi Truck Automotive Mechanic or similar role in automotive repair. Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding techniques. Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery is a plus. Ability to solder electrical connections and suspend components safely during repairs. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in automotive technology are preferred.
