Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with the ability to work on various types of vehicles. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment, as well as the capability to assemble, weld, and perform repairs on automotive systems. A commitment to safety and quality workmanship is essential. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including oil changes, brake replacements, and tire rotations. Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment. Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as needed for repairs. Operate forklifts and cranes safely to move vehicles and parts within the shop. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored. Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repair orders. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automotive technology. Qualifications Proven experience as an Semi Truck Automotive Mechanic or similar role in automotive repair. Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding techniques. Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery is a plus. Ability to solder electrical connections and suspend components safely during repairs. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in automotive technology are preferred.
