Job Description

Hi Life Dive is seeking a motivated, skilled, and reliable Marine Diesel Mechanic / Maintenance Technician to join our commercial dive operation in Washington State. We operate a fleet of commercial dive vessels ranging from 30-45 feet that require ongoing maintenance, repairs, fabrication, troubleshooting, and general upkeep. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced marine environment with a wide variety of projects and responsibilities. We are currently operating out of Port Ludlow and will also be working throughout the Puget Sound/Key Peninsula and surrounding areas as operations move between locations. Experience with diesel engines and small gas engines is highly preferred. Additional experience in fabrication, welding, carpentry, hydraulics, plumbing, electrical work, or general construction is a major plus. This position may also include opportunities to assist with commercial diving operations as a dive tender or vessel operator.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair diesel and small engine equipment Perform vessel maintenance and troubleshooting Assist with fabrication, repairs, and general operational projects Work safely and efficiently in marine environments Help maintain reliability and readiness of commercial dive vessels
Qualifications:
Diesel engine and/or marine mechanic experience Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability Familiarity with power tools and shop equipment Mechanical, fabrication, or construction experience preferred Strong communication skills and reliability Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Compensation:
$25-$40/hr depending on experience, capability, and skill set Additional crew-share opportunities available during harvest operations Higher compensation available for highly experienced candidates Opportunity for long-term growth within the company
