Location:
Seattle, WA Multiple Positions Available:
1. Gather and organize information regarding AWS connection utility strategy for new data centers throughout US Southwest and LATAM and provide recommendations to management on the best strategy forward. 2. Develop and recommend utility connection strategies that balance CAPEX, OPEX, Reliability, and Schedule to meet AWS' business needs. 3. Develop and propose energy strategies that leverage capital projects (utility grid connections, high voltage substations, energy storage, etc.) to reduce long-term energy costs. 4. Collaborate with the internal teams and regulated utilities on the implementation of energy projects to ensure they are optimized and implemented in a timely and accurate fashion. 5. Identify and develop innovative cost savings projects and initiatives related to energy infrastructure and supply. 6. Complete due diligence on in-market opportunities and developing those opportunities into cost savings for the business. 7. Work with utility regulators to develop policies and guidelines that enable broader AWS strategies and objectives. 8. Confer with internal and external stakeholders to develop internal processes to ensure that the energy-related payment processes are established, optimized and executable. 9. Domestic and international travel up to 20% to perform role responsibilities may be required (40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $162700

Experience must include:
1) 1 year of experience working in utility/energy industry in a commercial/business development or technical role 2) 1 year of experience conducting due diligence, and analyzing energy projects/transactions 3) 1 year of experience collaborating with external stakeholders to deliver projects on-time. 4) 1 year of experience working with government entities and/or regulators The pay range for this position in Seattle, WA is $162700
  • $220100 (yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
