Transdev is seeking an Automotive Mechanic Level 2 to maintain and repair transit buses and fleet vehicles that keep communities moving. In this role, you will perform inspections, diagnostics, and mid-level repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, ensuring safe, reliable service. You will complete preventive maintenance, respond to road calls, and accurately document all work. Working in a safety- and team-focused shop, you'll receive ongoing training, use modern diagnostic tools, and support a mission-driven public transportation provider. Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and repair transit buses and fleet vehicles Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and safety inspections Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Use diagnostic tools, manuals, and service software to identify faults Complete brake, steering, suspension, and drivetrain repairs Document all work performed in maintenance systems and work orders Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory procedures Collaborate with supervisors and technicians to prioritize repairs Support road calls and assist with emergency breakdowns Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area Required Skills Automotive diagnostics Diesel and gasoline engine repair Brake and ABS systems Steering and suspension repair Electrical systems troubleshooting Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Preventive maintenance procedures Use of diagnostic scan tools Reading technical manuals and schematics Maintenance documentation and CMMS usage
