Job Description

Badger State Waste LLC is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Semi-Truck, Trailer & Agricultural Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This is a hands-on position focused on maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing our semi trucks, trailers, tractors, pumps, agricultural equipment, and other heavy equipment. We're looking for someone who takes pride in keeping equipment running, can troubleshoot problems, and is comfortable working independently. Experience working on farm equipment, diesel equipment, trucks, trailers, or heavy machinery is especially valuable. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on semi trucks, trailers, tractors, pumps, agricultural equipment, and other machinery Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections Repair and replace worn or damaged components Diagnose and repair brakes, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and other mechanical systems Maintain and repair tractors and other agricultural equipment Troubleshoot and repair pumps and liquid-handling equipment Assist with welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications Prepare and maintain equipment to ensure it is ready for operation Respond to equipment breakdowns and make repairs as needed Maintain and organize tools, parts, and shop equipment Keep the shop and work areas clean, safe, and organized Qualifications Semi truck, trailer, diesel, agricultural equipment, farming, or heavy-equipment mechanical experience preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Experience repairing and maintaining tractors and agricultural equipment is a plus Diesel engine repair experience preferred Knowledge of brakes, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems is a plus Experience with pumps and liquid-handling equipment is a plus Welding and fabrication experience is a plus Ability to work independently and solve problems Dependable and motivated Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, bending, climbing, pushing, and pulling Valid driver's license with a good driving record CDL is a plus, but not required Who We're Looking For We're interested in candidates with experience from a variety of mechanical backgrounds. You may be a diesel mechanic, truck mechanic, farm mechanic, agricultural equipment mechanic, heavy-equipment mechanic, or someone who has gained significant hands-on mechanical experience working on your own farm or equipment. If you know your way around semi trucks, trailers, tractors, farm machinery, diesel engines, pumps, or heavy equipment and have strong troubleshooting skills, we encourage you to apply.
