Job Description

Family owned and operated Local Trucking and Excavating company is looking for a highly skilled diesel mechanic to join our team. If you have a passion for heavy equipment, strong mechanical skills, and diesel experience, this your chance to make a significant impact in a local, growing company.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair heavy equipment including excavators, skid loaders, bulldozers, and diesel trucks and trailers. Conduct regular inspections on machines to ensure all systems are functioning properly. Troubleshoot issues relating to hydraulics, transmissions, air brakes, suspension, and electrical systems. Perform routine maintenance on all machines such as oil changes, filter changes, grease jobs, etc. Occasionally perform on-site emergency repairs. Always follow safety protocols and technical procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
Mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and tires. Able to proficiently use hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance tools for repairs. Ability to diagnose issues correctly using electrical experience and mechanical expertise. Must come equipped with a set of tools necessary for the role. CDL license NOT required but preferred.
