What You'll Do As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll play a critical role in our operations. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine issues. Performing repairs on electronic systems, brakes, hydraulics, and engines. Conducting routine preventative maintenance on all HBI vehicles and equipment. Accurately completing documentation and maintenance records. What We're Looking For To thrive in this role, you should have: A solid understanding of vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance. Experience in hydraulics, electronics, and brake systems (preferred). Knowledge of engine rebuilding (a plus). A valid, insurance-acceptable driver's license. Your own set of tools. Preferred Qualities Self-motivated and able to manage your workday independently based on company priorities. Clear communication with the team. Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with a team. Strong organizational habits, especially in managing tools and maintenance paperwork. Willingness to travel to job sites on short notice. Flexibility to work in various conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements Environmental Conditions:
You may be exposed to noise, welding fumes, sparks, gases, VOCs, insulation, and confined spaces. Work may occur in non-temperature-controlled environments or outside in all weather conditions.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds. Good eye-hand coordination. Willingness to work extended hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
