Job Description

Burnett Dairy Cooperative is seeking an experienced Shop Mechanic to maintain and repair company vehicles and equipment. This hands-on role ensures our fleet operates safely and efficiently by performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel engines, brake systems, and hydraulic/electrical components.
What You'll Do:
Diagnose, repair, and overhaul diesel engines, brakes, and electrical/hydraulic systems Maintain accurate repair records and ensure quality work Respond to driver service calls and support daily maintenance needs Assist with general building and yard maintenance as needed Follow all OSHA and company safety regulations
What We're Looking For:
High School Diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training preferred) 5+ years of truck or diesel mechanic experience CDL Class A (preferred) or ability to obtain with clean driving record Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and computer skills Ability to work independently, multitask, and stay organized
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position, primarily Monday through Friday , with some flexibility in your start time to fit your routine. Occasional evenings, weekends, or holiday coverage may be needed during peak seasons, but we strive to provide a balanced and predictable schedule.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and perform regular bending, climbing, and manual work in a moderately noisy environment.
