Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostic testing and repairs on complex mechanical, hydraulic, and diesel power systems. Interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams to isolate electrical faults and restore equipment functionality. Document service activities and maintenance records accurately through digital management systems to ensure fleet transparency. Collaborate with team members to facilitate the efficient movement and staging of equipment and necessary repair components. Provide technical mentorship to junior staff to elevate overall shop proficiency and safety standards. Maintain a high standard of equipment performance by proactively identifying wear and preventing potential system failures. Qualifications Required Skills Proven hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, aerial lifts, or diesel engines. Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics and hydraulic diagrams. Strong working knowledge of modern diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting tools. Possession of a personal set of professional-grade tools required for heavy equipment maintenance. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to meet safety-sensitive requirements. Preferred Skills Completion of a trade school program or attainment of relevant OEM certifications. Demonstrated understanding of OSHA safety regulations and workplace compliance. Experience working across a wide variety of equipment manufacturers and model types.
