Job Description
Job Overview Del's Service Center is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic / Heavy-Duty Technician to join our team at our new, state-of-the-art facility in La Crosse. We work on a wide variety of light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles , including diesel trucks, fleet vehicles, towing and recovery equipment, RVs, trailers, and commercial vehicles. What You'll Do Diagnose, service, and repair diesel-powered commercial trucks Perform repairs on semi-trucks, trailers, and other heavy-duty equipment Perform preventative maintenance and DOT-related inspections Diagnose and repair diesel engines and fuel systems Diagnose electrical and computer-related issues Repair air brake, hydraulic, suspension, steering, and exhaust systems Perform engine, transmission, drivetrain, and cooling system repairs Diagnose and repair emissions and aftertreatment systems Repair and maintain truck and trailer lighting and electrical systems Perform trailer repairs, including brakes, suspension, wiring, doors, hubs, and other components Use computerized diagnostic equipment and manufacturer service information Accurately document inspections, diagnoses, and repairs Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Towing & Recovery Experience — A Plus Experience working with tow trucks, recovery equipment, or the towing industry is a strong plus.
