Job Description
Toyota Material Handling PennWest, Inc is an award-winning, premier provider of material handling equipment & services in western Pennsylvania & Northern West Virginia. We're looking for a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Technician who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and making a direct impact on customer operations every day. In this role, you'll diagnose and repair material handling equipment at customer sites, communicate directly with customers, and keep their equipment running safely and efficiently. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of material handling equipment (basic to advanced repairs). Perform comprehensive forklift inspections to identify needed repairs and proactive maintenance. Communicate with customers regarding repair needs, timelines, cost changes, and additional service recommendations. Work safely and follow all company safety policies and industry's best practices. Complete accurate, organized service documentation and submit within required timelines. Manage Work-in-Process (WIP) to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and on schedule. Collaborate with Coordinators, Parts personnel, and Customer Service/Sales teams to support smooth service delivery. Maintain and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle, including parts inventory. Keep work areas clean, organized, and professional at customer sites. Represent the company through professional appearance, communication, and customer service. Support the Service Department with special projects and additional duties as needed. What We're Looking for: Experience in mechanical, electrical, automotive, diesel, material handling, or related repair fields Valid driver's license and clean driving record Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset Effective communication skills (customer and internal) Ability to work independently in the field Focus on producing accurate paperwork and documentation PennWest Toyota Material Handling LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace.
