Overview We are looking for a reliable and experienced Fleet Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic to help maintain our fleet of delivery vehicles, including Sprinter vans and box trucks . The primary focus of this position is preventive and routine fleet maintenance to keep our vehicles safe, reliable, and on the road. Most day-to-day work will include oil changes, filters, brakes, inspections, fluid services, and diagnosing common mechanical issues. This is a great opportunity for a mechanic who enjoys hands-on work and wants to maintain a working commercial fleet rather than work in a traditional dealership environment. Duties Perform routine preventive maintenance on Sprinter vans and box trucks Complete oil and filter changes, brake repairs/replacements, fluid services, and inspections Inspect tires, suspension, steering, belts, hoses, batteries, and other common wear components Diagnose and repair basic diesel, mechanical, and electrical issues Identify potential problems before they lead to vehicle breakdowns Perform scheduled maintenance according to manufacturer and fleet requirements Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records for each vehicle Keep the shop and work area organized and safe Coordinate with fleet management regarding vehicles needing additional or outside repairs Experience & Qualifications Previous experience as an automotive, diesel, fleet, or truck mechanic Experience working on Sprinter vans, delivery vans, box trucks, or commercial vehicles strongly preferred Comfortable performing brakes, oil changes, filters, fluids, inspections, and general preventive maintenance Basic diesel diagnostic and repair experience Ability to identify mechanical problems and recommend appropriate repairs Comfortable using standard mechanic hand tools, power tools, jacks, and diagnostic equipment Ability to work independently and manage routine fleet maintenance schedules Valid driver's license preferred Dependable, organized, and safety-focused About the Role Our goal is simple: keep our delivery fleet safe, maintained, and operating reliably.
