Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with experience in heavy equipment operation. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various mechanical issues, ensuring that all equipment is operating efficiently and safely. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth operation of our fleet and enhance our commitment to quality service. Pay will range DOE from $28 - $34 per hour OT over 40 hours a week working 12 hour schedule with some flexibility. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems. Diagnose mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques. Repair or replace defective parts, such as brakes, engines, transmissions, and electrical systems. Conduct inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed. Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to troubleshoot complex issues. Operate heavy equipment as needed for testing and repair purposes. Weld components as necessary to ensure structural integrity of equipment. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in diesel technology. Qualifications Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in automotive repair or heavy equipment maintenance. Proficiency in hydraulics, electrical systems, air brake systems, and HVAC systems. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Certification from an accredited technical school or equivalent experience is a plus.
