Job Description
The Diesel Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing and completing preventative maintenance on a Fleet of Heavy Duty Trucks, Trailers and automotive fleet vehicles. An understanding of electrical, PM, DOT inspections and PC is required. Experience required. •Job Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on all types of trucks Be able to work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs Positive interface with service writer, supervisor, and parts department Document machine information and repairs completed on work order, including parts and fluids used. Keep paper work updated and handed in upon completion Maintain a clean work area, as well as care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment. Meet requirements for certification Must have your own set of general tools •Desired Skills, Qualities and Requirements Positive attitude and the ability to set goals and accomplish them The desire to take advantage of certification opportunities to have the most updated product training Solid written and verbal communication skills Excellent mechanical skills Ability to assemble and perform maintenance functions on equipment Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50lbs. and occasionally lift and carry up to 75lbs. Strong oral and written communication skills Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship Must possess a valid drivers license free of any major violations in the past 5 years Must be able to pass Drug, Alcohol and background checks •Work schedule/hours to be determined.
