Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Technician to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment, including trucks, industrial machinery, and farm equipment. Your expertise will ensure that all vehicles and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, suspension work, and alignment procedures to maximize equipment lifespan. Repair and fabricate parts as needed using power tools, welding equipment, and hand tools to ensure proper fit and function. Operate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers to facilitate repair processes or move machinery safely around the shop. Troubleshoot complex mechanical systems involving HVAC systems, shocks & struts, air brakes, hydraulics, and vehicle electrical systems with precision. Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed in accordance with safety standards. Assist in the assembly of new equipment or machinery components while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience working as a Diesel Technician or Heavy Equipment Mechanic within a dealership or industrial setting. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, heavy truck repair, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and automotive diagnostics. Proficiency with schematics reading and electrical system repair for automotive or heavy equipment applications. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools necessary for complex repairs. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working in various positions around the shop or field environments. Valid certification or experience in heavy truck repair, diesel engine repair, vehicle systems maintenance or related fields. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and problem-solving for clients or team members.
