Job Description:
Advanced Mobility Group is seeking a technician to support GoMentum Station's technical operations. The technician would handle electrical and traffic signal maintenance, install and configure V2X/ITS devices, set up and operate test equipment, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage solar and off-grid power systems, provide field support for testing activities, maintain equipment inventory, document procedures, and perform general maintenance of technical systems at GoMentum Station. The role should also support GoMentum's signalized intersections and test infrastructure, including traffic signal cabinets, controllers, detection systems, conflict monitors/MMUs, wiring checks, low-voltage troubleshooting, communications equipment, signal heads, pedestrian/vehicle detection devices, solar-powered field devices, battery systems, charge controllers, inverters, power distribution, temporary test setups, and coordination of trailer-mounted or non-permanent equipment used for demonstrations and testing. The position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, dependable, safety-conscious, and especially enthusiastic and passionate about innovation, electrical systems, solar/off-grid power systems, connected and automated vehicle technologies, and cars. Candidates with experience in vehicle regulatory safety testing and related test equipment should receive priority, especially experience with surrogate targets, dynamic driving/testing robots, soft targets, test fixtures, data collection equipment, GNSS/RTK systems, sensors, and proving-ground or closed-course test operations.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications would include a high school diploma or equivalent technical training and at least 2 years of hands-on experience with electrical/electronic systems, field equipment, ITS/traffic signal systems, solar/battery power systems, low-voltage installation, networking, automotive technology, vehicle testing equipment, or similar technical operations.
Employment Type:
Full-time, hourly
Target Pay Range:
$32-$40 per hour, depending on experience, technical capabilities, and certifications. Final compensation should reflect the candidate's experience, certifications, technical breadth, and ability to independently support GoMentum Station's specialized test and transportation infrastructure.
