• , you are responsible for reading and interpreting the proper installation specifications for various construction projects.

In addition, you will: + Determine floor plan layouts, power distribution, backup power supplies, and cabling of central office equipment + Design, identify, and requisition parts necessary to establish low- and high-level racking, transmission racking, power racking, aisle lighting, and provision for grounding + Create comprehensive and accurate installation specifications and equipment requirements to fulfill customer orders + Create or correct location records, drawings, bill of materials (BOM), installation notes, and memos to reflect additions and modifications to customers' location (central office) as a result of installation or engineering activities + Possess familiarity with specifications and drawings required to assemble and integrate telco transmission equipment into a Central Office environment + Have the ability to utilize hand tools required for the installation of transmission equipment, including crimpers, wire wrap guns, strippers, wrenches, hammers, drills, stencils, etc. + Bring Inventory and transport tools/materials as required to the job site + Act in a supervisory manner and provide guidance to lower-level installers on individual job progress, material shortages, customer complaints, and unsafe or inoperable tools + Possess familiarity with customer installation and quality standards, including IP72202 + Provide for self-quality check of all portions of the job responsible prior to sign-off + Assemble, modify, install overhead ironwork, relay racks, transmission equipment, and cable ladder + Run power, signal, and ground cables to interconnect equipment + Cut and terminate single, multi-strand, and coax cable with power lugs, multi-pin connectors, and BNC connectors, stencil installed equipment, and terminations + Establish and maintain a professional rapport with customers, supervisors, and co-workers + Maintain and provide accurate departmental paperwork as requested + Know all safety and security requirements and follow them implicitly; Assist in maintaining a safe and hazard-free work area + Dress appropriately for the job environment + Be proficient in all phases of installation and testing of equipment to provide for progression in the business + Review installation specifications

Qualifications About You:

+ Safety is a part of your day-to-day + You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality + You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work + You are looking for long-term projects + You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team + High School diploma or GED and Electronics training equivalent to 2 years of technical trade school, or equivalent as determined by the Installation Manager + You have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Level II Central Office Installer + You respond promptly to customer needs and request customer feedback to improve the partnership + You have the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and work within company-provided databases to update job statuses + You have the ability to lift tools and equipment as needed (minimum 10 lbs) + You are proficient in customer specifications and standards + You possess excellent communication skills, speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listen and get clarification; demonstrate group presentation skills + You have excellent time management; you organize and plan work activities, set goals and objectives, and develop realistic action plans + You are dependable; follow instructions, respond to management's directions, and keep commitments Compensation of $25-$28 per hour, depending on the experience.
