Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Generator Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of power generation systems and engines. Your expertise will ensure that our clients' emergency power systems operate flawlessly when they need them most. Duties Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on generators, including diesel engines and electrical systems. Conduct routine maintenance on power generation equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Use schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently. Repair mechanical components such as engines, alternators, control panels, and cooling systems. Execute electrical work including wiring, circuit testing, and electrical diagnostics on complex systems. Assist with the installation of new generator systems and upgrades at customer sites. Maintain detailed service records, reports, and documentation for all work performed. Qualifications Proven dealership or service technician experience with power generation equipment or heavy machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, electrical diagnostics, and equipment troubleshooting. Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals related to generators and engine repair. Hands-on experience with automotive repair, small engine maintenance, or similar mechanical systems. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and equipment maintenance techniques. Ability to lift heavy components safely and perform manual handling tasks regularly. Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Preferred qualifications include experience working with Caterpillar or other major engine brands, electrical work expertise, and familiarity with power generation systems.
