Job Overview Pocatello Power Sports is looking for an experienced Powersports Technician to join our service department. We are a locally owned, multi line powersports dealership serving riders throughout Southeast Idaho, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in quality work, enjoys solving problems, and wants to be part of a knowledgeable and hardworking team. This is not an entry level position. Previous professional experience working on motorcycles, ATVs, side by sides, snowmobiles, or similar powersports equipment is highly preferred. Manufacturer certifications are a plus. As a Powersports Technician, you will diagnose, maintain, repair, and prepare a wide variety of powersports equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills, be comfortable using service manuals and manufacturer resources, and be able to complete work accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on motorcycles, ATVs, side by sides, snowmobiles, and other powersports equipment Perform repairs, routine maintenance, and scheduled services Set up and inspect new units for sale and customer delivery Use service manuals, diagnostic equipment, and manufacturer resources to properly diagnose and repair units Complete repairs accurately and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship Communicate with the Service Manager regarding repairs, parts needs, and additional issues discovered during service Properly document completed work and repair information Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace Work with the service team to provide customers with a positive dealership experience Qualifications Previous professional powersports, motorcycle, ATV, UTV, snowmobile, or similar mechanical experience is highly preferred Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Ability to diagnose problems and determine the proper repair Experience using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and service manuals Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work Ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities Dependable, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team Valid driver's license with motorcycle endorsement Candidates must provide their own tools Powersports or manufacturer certifications are preferred If you have professional powersports technician experience, take pride in your work, and want to be part of a team that shares a passion for the powersports industry, we would like to hear from you.
